The Best Kitchen Faucets
The kitchen faucet you choose for your kitchen is essential because it does a lot of hard work for you. Many times a day, you will turn your faucet on and off, whether you’re getting water to drink, to cook with, to wash the food before you prepare it, or to clean up the multiple messes that happen daily in a kitchen. It is also essential because you see it and touch it so much. Therefore, it needs to be good-looking and appealing to you. A good faucet is also a significant investment, so it should be well made, out of solid brass, and with a good warranty on the finish.
Why Are Kitchen Faucets Important?
Kitchen faucets don’t get a lot of conversation, but I think they should. Think about how many times you touch your kitchen faucet over a day! I think the kitchen faucet should be easy to use, pretty to look at, and built to last. I’ve compiled a list of the best kitchen faucet traits and will top each off with the best kitchen faucets.
Examples Of Kitchen Faucets
The height of the faucet is crucial. If I can’t get a bucket under the faucet, forget it. This Studio S by American Standard fits the bill at a terrific price of $266.00.
I consider how many holes it takes to install. I like as few things to clean around as possible, so in most cases, I want an all-in-one type faucet like this Cassidy by Delta. Note: I firmly believe you cannot go wrong with this Cassidy by Delta in chrome. I’ve installed it in over 100 projects and have never heard bad feedback. The price of this on the Delta is $533. Chrome faucets are always a much better price (changing to the champagne bronze adds $229!)
I’m very interested in how easy the water is to turn on and off and to adjust the temperature. Until recently, the answer has been a faucet with one handle so I can hold a bowl or pan in the other hand. It feels like a big time-saver to me. But now, you can buy faucets with touch and voice technology. One-touch anyplace on the faucet can turn it on and off. If that isn’t fancy enough, this faucet can be paired with your home device, and you can say, “Alexa, dispense 3 cups of water,” AND IT DOES. This sleek, modern Trinsic by Delta checks every box and will cost you around $950 – not a terrible price point.
The finish of the faucet is really important! You need to love it; you do! I love polished chrome or polished nickel – they are so shiny! I could get into the brushed gold, like this from Delta look in the right kitchen. The MSRP on this is $762.
